Homecoming Assembly
Everyone was extremely enthusiastic during the homecoming assembly on Friday. The National Anthem was played as the presentation of the flags unfurled. Following the flag presentation, the cheerleaders started things off with the crowd cheer. Marissa McKinney and Virgel Caval excitedly welcomed everyone to the assembly. The crowd sang the school song as the band and the cheerleaders and dance team performed. As everyone sang, judges determined which class wore the most purple and white. After the school song finished, the JV cheer preformed in which the crowd was ecstatic. The opening act of the first competition unfolded as the freshmen sang the school song and the judges began to determine performance. The frozen-shirt competition was next while everyone chanted. Then sophomores sang the school song as loud as they could afterwards. The JV dance team performed mash-ups, which the crowd loved. Then the junior cheer boys followed which the crowd was exuberant over. The donut game was next, and then third act of the school song was performed by the juniors. The varsity cheer performed next, and the final act of the school song competition performed by the seniors was completed. However, the assembly and the competitions were far from over. A class clash unraveled as an Oreo game was played. The crowd went wild for the senior pom boys, and then there was a human knot competition. Then, the judges watched each class cheer the INDIANS cheer, and the freshmen went first. The varsity dance team performed more mash-ups afterwards and the INDIANS cheer was performed by the sophomores. Following those events, was the human bowling competition which the crowd loved. Then the junior’s cheer followed as they bellowed as loud as they could. The Elephant game followed and the crowd was very upbeat. The seniors went after and they roared the INDIANS cheer. Then Mr. Hulliung announced the student of the month: Kalli Morris. After the lip dub, everyone went outside to the football field to finish up the assembly. There were cheers and a marshmallow catching game. Concluding those events, were three tug-of-wars. It was a great display of school spirit, so thank you to all of the classes!
