The Walking Dead

Imagine walking through the woods with two children and a group. Everyone in the group looks up to you for leadership and protection. You hear a noise coming from the trees beside you. You’re unsure of whether it’s a zombie or another group, either could possibly attack your group. Rick Grimes would know exactly what to do and he wouldn’t hesitate to take out the threat. In Walking Dead, Rick Grimes wakes up in a coma during season one, and is very quick to learn that while he was unconscious the zombie apocalypse had started. In a desperate attempt to search for his family, he stumbles across people and ‘walkers.’ Eventually, he makes it out of the city of Atlanta, Georgia with a newfound friend, Glen Rhee, who helped him escape with his life from a horde of zombies. Rick comes to find out that Glen was a survivor that accompanied his wife and son on the outskirts of Atlanta. In season two, after losing many of their group, they decide to make their way to Fort Benning, where another survivor, Shane Walsh, suggested was a safe place. The group get separated from one of the children, Sophia Peletier, and in a dangerous effort to find her, the group comes across a different group that has been practically untouched by the apocalypse since the start. In season three, after a brutal attack and losing several members of the group from the largest zombie herd the group has ever seen, they are back on the road. The group searches for refuge for now pregnant member, Lori Grimes. Rick finds a well kept prison with only a few zombies inside the gates. Once inside the gates of the prison, the group is constantly threatened by a group of survivors who have established a town nearby the prison. The town gears up for war against the prison group. The war lasts until the mid-season finale of season four. The other half of season four is focused on getting the group back together after they had been separated at the prison. They all lead to Terminus, a place that claimed to be a sanctuary for all. “Those who arrive, survive.” the sign claimed that lead the group to Terminus. In the end of season 4, the group is locked up by the Terminus people. When season five aired on Sunday, October 12, 2014, the group was still locked up and awaited a fight against the Terminus group. Later escaping with their lives, the group is now settle at a church and soon headed off to D.C to see if they can cure the apocalypse.
