The 41st Annual People Choice Awards

The 41st People Choice Awards aired on January 7, 2015. It was a great way to kick off the New Year! The show was hosted by Allison Janney and Anna Faris.

The first award of the night went to Melissa McCarthy. After her witty acceptance speech Betty White came on stage to accept Favorite TV Icon award. Betty White said, "When Melissa McCarthy said she said that she'd stay as long as you let her … Well you've abused the privilege with me … Can you imagine the People's Choice at 93?”

Taylor Swift walked away with the most awards of the night (3). Kelsey Thouvenin said “I am so happy Taylor Swift won so many awards, she is my favorite artist.” The winner of the favorite movie was Maleficent. Khamela Johnson says “She is shocked that Rachel Ray didn’t win Favorite Daytime Tv, but she is glad that Ellen DeGeneres won.”

One of the many performers of the night was Iggy Azalea. People said her performance was memorable and amazing. Fall Out Boy also gave a fiery performance, it seemed to be a fan favorite with all the fireballs and pyrotechnics going off behind the band during the performance.
