Charles Manson: Mass killer or Playboy Bunny? The world knows Charles Manson as the serial killer who formed a cult of Charles worshippers that did his dirty work, named “The Manson Family.” Manson was not only influenced by drugs such as LSD, he also took interest in the Beatles song, Helter Skelter. Helter Skelter was an apocalyptic war Manson believed would arise from tension over racial relations between blacks and whites

After 1967, Manson gathered a group of followers who shared his passion for an unconventional lifestyle and regular use of hallucinogenic drugs. The Family moved to San Francisco and later to a deserted ranch in the San Fernando Valley. His followers, numbering around 100, also included a small hard-core unit of young girls. They began to believe, without question, Manson's claims that he was Jesus and his prophecies of a race war.

In August 1969, a series of Hollywood murders shocked the world. Manson gathered a group of his most loyal Family followers to carry out a massacre among Tinseltown's elite and beautiful people. According to one of the Family member's statements, the Polanksi household had been targeted because it represented Manson's rejection by the showbiz world and society.

Manson chose four of his most obedient comrades, Charles Watson, Susan Watkins, Patricia Krenwinkel and Linda Kasabian to carry out these heinous crimes.Manson himself took no part in the actual killings, but directed his murderous disciples to the address and instructed them to kill everyone.

In 1971, Manson was convicted of first-degree murder for orchestrating the deaths of the victims. He was sentenced to life in prison after California invalidated their death penalty.

Since then, life in prison for Manson has not been that bad. A certain young woman, and I mean YOUNG, stalked him and began visiting him in prison. This sick obsession quickly turned into a relationship (BARF) and later an engagement.

Many aspects of this relationship concern me:

1: Charles is 88, Afton Burton is 26. TWENTY SIX. That’s a 62 year difference. She could be his grandchild. She was not even born when the killings occurred.

2. SHE STALKED HIM AND HE FELL IN LOVE WITH HER. Maybe it’s just me, but if someone stalked me, I’d file for a restraining order, not propose.

3. She is almost identical to the most sadistic of Manson’s followers, Susan Watkins. Maybe Manson is just trying to reminisce on the good old days?

Do not get me wrong, if two people love each other, I am all for it. But when one is serving life in prison and the other is over three times younger, I just don’t see that relationship working out.
