“There is always one moment in childhood when the door opens and lets the future in,” (Graham Greene). Once the door to our childhood has been shut, we often times forget about all the summers we spent running through the sprinklers or jumping on the bed. Frau Link’s German 2 classes did a project that encourages many to reflect back on our childhood and remember all of the things we enjoyed. Here are the things your fellow class mates and staff members had to say about their childhood:

“I had this baby blanket that I loved. I couldn’t sleep without it.”

Reflecting on the past can be eye opening and so much fun. There are opportunities to remember all the fun things that any loved back when they were younger. Childhood is a beautiful thing. As time goes by and we head into the real world, the greatest thing to remember is the hopes and joys of our youth. Mary Jo Putney says it best, “What one loves in childhood stays in the heart forever.”
